Dental implants

If you have missing teeth or if you are looking for a permanent replacement for dentures we may suggest implants. At Complete Dentistry, Dr Clarke-Irons is well practiced in providing dental implants for our patients.

Dr Richard Clarke-Irons has passed his Diploma in Implantology at the Royal College of Surgeons in London to expand further his knowledge of implants.

"I can eat anything! I had to avoid foods with my dentures. Steak, crisps, salad, were all impossible to eat before. They have made an amazing difference"
Ann Maddocks

Why dental implants?

Dental implants can be used to stabilise loose dentures, to bridge gaps that extend over several missing teeth or to replace gaps left by a single lost tooth without damaging neighbouring teeth. Placement of dental implants help to provide an excellent long-term solution to many common dental problems. Implants can help you feel more secure about the stability of your teeth and enable you to rediscover the enjoyment of a greater variety of food.

How does it work

Implants are made from titanium metal and inserted into your jaw bone where they fuse with your existing bone, acting like a new tooth root and creating a strong and permanent support for your replacement tooth or teeth. The laboratory will create new teeth which will match your previous teeth and should look and feel completely natural.

"The implant itself which I was dreading, was actually a piece of cake!"
